What RE Looks Like at Tattingstone

At Tattingstone, Religious Education is a place where curiosity is welcomed and big questions are explored.

Our children learn about Christianity and a range of other world religions and worldviews through discussion, enquiry and reflection. They ask thoughtful questions, handle artefacts, explore sacred texts, visit places of worship and welcome visitors who share their lived faith experiences.

RE lessons are active and engaging. You might see pupils debating moral dilemmas, creating artwork inspired by religious symbols, comparing festivals, or reflecting quietly on what gives life meaning and purpose.

We encourage children to think deeply and speak with courage, while showing respect for different beliefs and perspectives. They learn that it is okay to agree, disagree and wonder — and that listening carefully to others matters.

Rooted in our vision, “We can do all things through Him who strengthens us,” RE helps our pupils grow from small wonders into shining lights — developing understanding, compassion and confidence as they make sense of the world around them.
